Deeper and Deeper Regional Premiere  a sizzlin' sensation!

What a fabulous turn-out last month!  June 20th brought us a fabulous Regional Premiere screening of BSCP's third feature film, psychological thriller Deeper and Deeper.  96 people filled two screening rooms at the classy, and very friendly Violet Crown Cinema in Austin Texas.  Thanks Kelly and Michael for all your help!  In attendance were stars David Lago,  Cyndi Williams (also the writer),  director  Mariusz Kotowski composer Rick Dejonge, editor Brian Burrows and cinematographer Leon Rodriguez. Missed was Lisa Marie Lamendola who stars as Angelica.  The audience mingled and munched and were treated to a casual red carpet welcome.

After the screening, the music from the soundtrack was featured at Lamberts.  The place was hopping!  Filled to capacity, composer Rick Dejonge was joined by the band, which included Jake Langley (guitar), Chris Maresh (bass), Rob Kazanel (drums) and John Mills (sax). They backed up special guest vocalists Mandy Lauderdale, Sydney Barrosse and Naomi Emmerson.  A special impromptu performance by David Lago finished off a sultry set which included a tequila "leg-shot" performed by Mandy and one lucky male audience member! Sizzle!

Photos by photographer Ursula Gopfert of the entire evening's proceedings can be viewed HERE. Unfortunately, not everyone was photographed on the red carpet or in front of the poster....

We had some very nice Press coverage before the event, too! Thank you Gary and Matthew from the Austin Statesman and Robert from Koop radio. Check the links for articles:

Recognition Award

In June, Mariusz was awarded a "Special recognition in Film Award" from the  Muzeum Kinematografi in Lodz and another from the Pola Negri Lipnowskie Towarzystwo Kulturalne in Lipno for his continued dedication to the work of Polish/Hollywood silent film star Pola Negri including his documentary Pola Negri: Life Is A Dream In Cinema and his book Pola Negri: Legenda Hollywood (available in Polish only on our website and on Amazon). He  led a lecture on the subject and question and answer period with fans of the star followed by a book signing.
Hot!

 English Translation in progress

Speaking of Pola Negri, the newest addition to the BSCP circle is Anna Palka-Boyet who is now translating "Pola Negri: Legenda Hollywood" from Polish into English.  The book will be available for North American representation in the Fall.  We look forward to hearing from any publishers who may be interested in representing this wonderful book in North America!  Cookin'!
